Take-Two has published a report for the third quarter of the fiscal year, which ended last December.
The company's net revenue reached $ 1.41 billion and increased by 56% compared to the same period last year, but it turned out to be lower than forecast.
Take-Two suffered a loss of $173 million for the quarter, while a profit of about $154 million was previously recorded.
Sales of games increased by 60% and reached $ 1.38 billion, 95% of them fell on the "figure". The circulation of Grand Theft Auto V exceeded 175 million copies, and the entire franchise — 395 million.
Sales of Red Dead Redemption 2 reached 50 million copies, and NBA 2K23 — 8 million. Take-Two will reduce costs by $50 million in the current fiscal year.
It is expected that this will lead to a reduction in staff, but it will be insignificant.
Earlier, the general director of the publishing house Strauss Zelnik said that 87 games are scheduled to be released next fiscal year.
These include the first-person shooter Judas, developed by Ghost Story Games studio under the direction of Ken Levin.
