Virtual racers are well aware that a solid wall that restricts the track helps to fit into a turn at full speed. In this way, you can easily bypass rivals who have slowed down.
A similar trick was used in real life by a NASCAR driver.
Last weekend, Ross Chastain participated in one of the stages of the Xfinity 500 Cup and was able to finish in the top five by performing a cunning maneuver.
On the last lap, Chastain accelerated and rolled along the rim, which allowed the rider to overtake five rivals at a time.
In an interview, Chastain noted that as a child he played a lot of NASCAR 2005 on the GameCube, and there such a technique worked, so he decided to try it out in real life.
The rider asked the team if it was worth the risk, and she replied that yes.
