Possible details about the next FromSoftware project after Armored Core VI appeared on the 4chan forum.

The user who told about the game claims that it will be called Spellbound and should be released in the first quarter of 2025.

The announcement can be made with a short teaser in December at The Game Awards 2023, but the first full trailer will not be shown until the summer of 2024.

The publication also states that the game has been in production since mid-2021 under the leadership of Hidetaki Miyazaki himself and will be published by FromSoftware without the participation of third-party publishers.

The release will take place only on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC.

From the details about the project, it is reported that it will continue the development of the Souls formula with an emphasis on magic and will unfold in a fictional world inspired by Europe of the late 18th century, but the game is not a spiritual continuation of Bloodborne, and nothing connects it with the PS4 exclusive.

It is noted that Spellbound will include one very large dungeon, where there is a city in which events unfold, as well as an open world beyond it.

The city itself will be about two to three times larger than all the Elden Ring dungeons combined, and will offer the best interconnection among all FromSoftware games, and the open world areas will be equal to two-thirds of the size of the open world in Elden Ring and contain areas with forests, farms, mountainous areas, coasts, villages, caves and small dungeons.

The presence of underwater locations is also stated. At the same time, in terms of the total size of all the areas available for study, the new project should be slightly smaller than the Elden Ring.

The main difference between Spellbound and the studio's past soul titles is the emphasis on spells that can be attacked as a conventional weapon.

It will also be in the game, but the main focus is on battles using spells. In general, the project is more focused on action and less on RPG.

In terms of role orientation, Spellbound will be something in between Sekiro and Bloodborne. Also, the game will again not have a pre-prescribed main character.

Players will be able to create their own character in the editor, and the authors pay great attention to setting up equipment and clothing, which will not only affect the appearance, but also differ in various effects that affect the gameplay.

Among other features of the game, the presence of some form of multiplayer and changing the time of day is mentioned.

The game character will be able to squat, jump, swim and cling to walls, but not climb.

You can't even be bothered to proofread your AI written garbled mess of an article enough to correct "Elven Ring"?? That sounds like a shit mobile knockoff of Elden Ring done in 2D with idle mechanics. Way to lack even a single shred of integrity or authenticity. Bravo

If you want to be a gaming website that competes with the biggest (IGN, Polygon, GameSpot, Kotaku, etc), if would help you a lot if you didn't misspell the name of one of the biggest games in the past year!
