PlayStation 5 again managed to bypass the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S monthly sales in the UK, according to a July report.
At the same time, the Sony console sold 14% worse than in June and turned out to be the second most popular console in the region right after the Nintendo Switch.
In total, almost 104,000 console units were sold in the UK during the month, which is 16% less than in June. The fall was demonstrated by all three platforms.
The sales of games also declined - minus 17%. The most popular game for the second month in a row was F1 22.
In general, July turned out to be another month of summer calm.
The Quarry, released in June, remained at number 8, and the best new release was the Xenoblade Chronicles 3, which peaked at number 13 on the monthly chart after one week of sales.
Horizon: Forbidden West, which dominated the weekly charts, was not in the top spot for the whole month.
This is due to the fact that the monthly chart does not take into account the sales of bundles, and the Sony game was actively sold with consoles.
Over the past three months, half of the consoles implemented in the country were bundles with the role-playing action Guerrilla Games.
Recently, the number of official kits has decreased, but against the background of high demand, many stores began to report themselves Horizon: Forbidden West to the standard PS5 kits.
PlayStation 5 bundles also boosted accessory sales.
The Stealth C6-100 headset from A4T, which Argos sold with the Sony console, became the fastest-growing new accessory on the British market, rising from 147th to 5th place.
