As promised by producer Naoki Yoshida, Square Enix unveiled a new trailer for Final Fantasy XVI in October.
It is dedicated to the world order of the role-playing game and shows the states of the lands of Valistia, which are under the protection of the Eikons - special divine beings summoned to the earth by the Dominants - people born with exceptional power.
At the center of the story is the struggle for the power of the fading crystals, known as the Akon War. The video shows plot fragments and epic gameplay footage.
“The day turns to twilight, and darkness covers the dying lands of Valistia. The flame of the First Crystals is fading.
We cannot live without the blessing of crystals,” the description says. Trailer in English:And Japanese:The developers noted that the game is actually ready.
Now they continue to polish and catch bugs.
In the coming weeks, Yoshida and his team will give a series of interviews to international gaming publications, in which they will reveal new details of Final Fantasy XVI.
Final Fantasy XVI is released in the summer of 2023 only on PlayStation 5.
