Players in Overwatch 2 randomly buy looks by chatting

Overwatch 2 text chat communication can lead to an accidental purchase in the in-game store.

Users of the Reddit forum complained about the situation, noting that the incident occurs approximately the same way.

The error happens when a player views a page with clouds while texting with other Overwatch 2 fans.

As a result, the affected user suddenly discovered that the game was starting to make a purchase on its own. Probably, the problem is the incorrect operation of the chat.

Pressing the Overwatch 2 button takes as commands to navigate through the game menus, thus activating the purchase.

Kotaku employees discovered that the error was first noticed in May, but since then no one has bothered to fix it. As for Blizzard, the publisher refuses to refund money for purchases.

After some time, the error was fixed. The latest update seems to have helped.

However, the company has not yet returned the money.
