Gran Turismo 7 will receive an anniversary update this week in honor of the 25th anniversary of the series

The head of Polyphony Digital Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed via Twitter that a new update for Gran Turismo 7 will be released next week.

The update will be timed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series and will add at least three new cars to the game.

Judging by the teaser with silhouettes of cars, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth, Nissan Silvia K's Aero and BMW M2 generation F87 will be added to the GT7.

Gran Turismo will officially turn 25 years old only on December 23.

The release of the anniversary update a month earlier may indicate that in December the game will remain without a separate update, and also suggests that the developers have prepared something more than just a few new cars to mark a landmark event for the franchise.
