Shooter Second Extinction will leave early access for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on October 20, announced developer studio Systemic Reaction.
Second Extinction is a cooperative first-person shooter in the setting of post-apocalyptic wastelands, where it is proposed to fight alone or with a team of up to three people with mutated dinosaurs that were considered extinct for a long time.
The game debuted in Steam Early Access in October 2020, and then, in April 2021, became available in Game Preview on Xbox consoles and since then has been replenished with new content and improvements.
Version 1 0 will be accompanied by a large-scale update that will add:A new card and a biome based on the savannah, effectively doubling the playing area.
New story missions and activities. Two completely new dinosaurs, including a new flying species, and two new mutations that complement the current list of predatory reptiles.
A redesigned progression system with an extended spectrum of complexity, increasing the maximum level from 50 to 99.
Improved weapon upgrading system, allowing to increase the power of guns, unlock perks and upgrade auxiliary equipment.
Free roaming and "hot" joining the game, allowing you to start new missions right from the map, without leaving the session, as well as joining active games.
Gamers will also be able to accumulate resources and change equipment by visiting bunkers scattered around the world. Other improvements, including new cosmetic rewards and an improved user interface.
