It is possible that the 2024 project that Treyarch is developing will also have an extended support period.

According to an insider of The Ghost Of Hope, Activision has approved a budget for the two-year lifecycle of the next Call of Duty from Treyarch, betting on the good financial performance of Modern Warfare II and the infrastructure of Call of Duty 2.

0, within which all games in the series will now run on a single engine.

Potentially, this could mean the transition of Call of Duty to a two-year release cycle, but The Ghost Of Hope notes that a decision has not yet been made and is in limbo before signing a deal with Microsoft.

In other words, Treyarch makes the game based on the assumption of two years of support, but the situation may change.
