№74" threadGet back! Numerous vehicles have a few reverse transmissions, and we’ve added automatic transmissions in War Thunder to make controlling them more comfortable.

Turns out, it didn’t work exactly as intended and could get in the way of your hasty retreat from a dangerous position.

When moving directly backwards, the Automatic Transmission worked correctly, but if you tried to turn your vehicle, it changed to the first reverse transmission gear!

An issue with reverse movement also arose if the wheels of your vehicle were completely turned to one side.

Now automatic transmission uses all the power of your vehicle — in several cases the speed of turning in reverse increased up to two times! Weigh up!

Many players in mid ranks try to max out suspended weaponry of their aircraft. We found a way to make it more comfortable for them!

Now each weapon in the editor of the suspended weaponry will display its weight — as will the entire preset.

You’ll be able to compare your current weight against the maximum — or check how much you’ve exceeded the limit if you did. Have fun experimenting with different sets of explosive cargo!

Fly high! We’ve noticed that the air-to-surface missile AGM-65 can’t reach its maximum range unless it’s launched from a very high altitude.

The reason was simple: to reach that range, the missile has to loft, and it just couldn’t. Well, we taught it its signature move!

Now, AIM-54 actually could loft, but there was a catch: when pulling up, it could hit the aircraft it was launched from.

We fixed that, and increased seeker warm-up angles and guidance equipment operational time.

Autopilot of the L-UMTAS and Mokopa missiles weren’t functioning well enough on short and very long distances.

It happened because they worked in relay mode, when the fins were constantly being switched from minimum to maximum, and the flight trajectory was determined by the time they spent in each position.

Now the autopilot works in proportional mode, and that allows it to follow the set trajectory more precisely.

Lastly, we’ve almost doubled the maximum permissible overload of 9M331, the missile of the Torus. All listed missiles have received improvements to their dynamics and autopilot.

Use them well! That’s Not AllYou’ll find the full list of improvements in the separate changelog — there are many interesting things there.

Weapon selector no longer prevents the camera from following the falling bombs or torpedoes, the position of the propeller of the aircraft now stays the same regardless of your point of view, and the parameters of dropping bombs now longer apply to other helicopter weaponry.
