Sonic Frontiers will receive the first major DLC this week

The first major update with new free content for Sonic Frontiers will be released this week.

SEGA sent out an email to players informing them that on March 23, the platformer will receive a DLC called "Sights, Sounds and Speed Update".

The letter does not specify any details of the upcoming addition, however, the company previously published a roadmap of content updates for 2023, which revealed the developers' plans for further support of the game.

According to the roadmap, "Update 1" will include a photo mod, a kind of jukebox and new modes with tests, which generally converges with the "sights, sounds and speed" from the update name.

"The first of three free content updates for Sonic Frontiers will be released on March 23," the letter says.

"With new features and modes, it's time to experience 'sights, sounds and speed' on the Starfall Islands."

The second content update will bring tests in open areas to Sonic Frontiers, something related to the celebration of Sonic's birthday and add a new Coco, and the third update will expand the project with a new story and additional playable characters.
