The mysterious project Pragmata from Capcom has raised many questions since the announcement and almost did not give answers to them.
The sci-fi game was first presented in 2020 with a spectacular cinematic trailer and was planned for release in 2022, but then the developers began to postpone the release further and further — first to 2023, and yesterday they postponed it indefinitely.
Given the situation surrounding the game, including an almost complete lack of information and constant delays, some players might have assumed that Pragmata was facing internal problems, and it seems that it is.
A well-known insider Dusk Golem, who has been sharing rumors and news about Capcom titles for a long time, said that "at some point in production" the development of Pragmata was rebooted, which was the reason for the delays.
Dusk Golem did not specify the details, so it is not known how much the vision of the project has changed, but judging by the new trailer with gameplay footage, the basic concept of the game, at least in terms of visual, should remain.
As part of the Capcom Showcase, the Pragmata team stated that they are working hard to create "their best game that they are capable of," but they need more time for this.
According to the developers, they will continue to do everything possible to ensure that the final product meets the expectations of the players.
