Microsoft has shared details of the April system update for Xbox consoles. Its main elements will be a redesigned search page and new energy consumption parameters.
The updated search page will offer a new design and will display the results as a gallery. In addition, it will be possible to search YouTube on the "Movies and TV" tab.
The search can be accessed via the corresponding element in the upper-right part of the taskbar, either by using the magnifying glass icon in the guide, or by pressing the Y button anywhere in the user interface.
With the update in the power settings, it will also be possible to adjust the active hours of the system when choosing sleep mode.
During active time, the console will be able to launch quickly and perform actions such as streaming games and remote installation via a mobile application.
At the end of the specified hours, the console will turn off, reducing power consumption to 0.5 watts versus 10-15 watts during active time. The new firmware will begin to be distributed this week.
