Microsoft has filed a patent application for a system that automatically implements improvements to old games when playing through the cloud.
The patent document describes a cloud system that interacts with the game in real time and applies improvements to it on the fly.
First of all, this method is likely to improve performance in older PC games, which, as a rule, do not work well on modern hardware.
As a result, fans have to create unofficial patches to improve compatibility, but Microsoft's new technology could potentially bypass the need for this.
Earlier this month, a Microsoft patent for a new gamepad with a built-in screen also appeared on the network.
