Head of Microsoft Gaming Phil Spencer sent a message to PlayStation boss Jim Ryan, in which he assured that Microsoft will continue to release games from the series Call of Duty for "a few more years" after the end of the current obligations on the part of Activision.

The head of Xbox informed representatives of The Verge that he provided written guarantees in January 2022 and undertakes to fulfill them in case of a successful transaction with Activision Blizzard.

In addition, Microsoft will release on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions of the game without restrictions in content.

It is not known how long Call of Duty will visit owners of PlayStation consoles.

At the beginning of 2022, Bloomberg employees reported that Microsoft intends to release at least the next three Call of Duty under a contract with Sony, and the franchise deal will expire in 2024.

In February, Microsoft promised to keep the series "available on the PlayStation after the end of the current agreement".
