Microsoft has released the following system update for the Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, aimed at improving the Game DVR function. Update 2211.
221017-2200 is available to members of the Xbox Insider program with the Apha Skip-Ahead access level and adds a separate application called Capture to the console OS, designed for viewing, editing and publishing recorded game clips and screenshots.
The Capture application features an updated user interface and increased performance, as well as the ability to copy locally saved screenshots and videos to an external drive.
Previously, the Game DVR function on the Xbox Series X|S received a 30% increased bitrate for 1080p and 720p video.
The new preliminary update also adds support for the Ukrainian language and improves the experience of using Discord on Xbox, allowing players to join voice channels directly from the console without having to use the service's mobile application for smartphones (except for direct calls).
To access the voice server browser, users need to link their Discord and Xbox accounts, if they have not been linked before. The rest of the update details can be found at the link.
