Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S continue to be the fastest selling consoles in the history of the Xbox brand, said Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella at the presentation of the latest financial report.
In the first year and a half, they split up with a large circulation that the Xbox 360 and Xbox One in due time. Exact figures were not given.
Microsoft's gaming division is doing well — it generated $16.22 billion in revenue last fiscal year, which is an absolute record for Xbox.
The fourth-quarter turnover fell by 7% year-on-year to $3.45 billion, the second-best result in the brand's history.
Over the past three months, revenues from iron sales have fallen by 11% and from games and services by 6%.
Microsoft attributed this to the difference in iron supplies and the number of attractive releases.
According to Nadella, demand for the Xbox Series X|S continues to exceed supply, and the number of Xbox Game Pass subscribers is growing.
Microsoft's new consoles have been leading the way in US nextgen sales for the last three quarters in a row.
By June 30, 2023, Microsoft will release at least five new exclusives for the Xbox Series X|S and PCs, including Starfield and Redfall from Bethesda.
