Forspoken PlayStation 5 leads in January with sales growth of 202%

In January, sales of the PlayStation 5 in Europe grew by 202% compared to the same period a year earlier, which allowed the Sony console to firmly gain a foothold in the first place among consoles.

The Nintendo Switch came in second with an 11% drop from January 2022 with the release of the super-hit RPG Pokemon Legends: Arceus, while the Xbox Series X|S family rounded out the top three with a 32% drop in sales.

At the same time, players bought 12.1 million copies of games - 19.1% less than a year earlier, due to the lack of new hits of the level of Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

FIFA 23 topped the chart, followed by Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2. The Dead Space remake started at number six, while the role-playing game Forspoken started at number eleven.
