Microsoft gave game developers for the Xbox Series S more control over memory. The manufacturer has recently upgraded Xbox Devkits software to free up additional memory and increase performance.
Microsoft reports that “hundreds of additional megabytes are now available to developers.” This is expected to optimize gaming and improve graphics performance in low-memory environments.
Recall that the developers complained about the lack of RAM on the Xbox Series S. The limitations in the system were described in detail by the Digital Foundry team, which reported that some developers experience a real headache when optimizing games.
