Officially: Microsoft reduces its presence in Russia

Microsoft has decided to significantly reduce its presence in the Russian market. About it reports the Bloomberg edition. 

According to the official statement, the IT giant will fire more than 400 people. The latter were promised to provide all possible support. 

The reason for the business restructuring was the change in the economic situation in Russia. This forced Microsoft to re-examine the prospects for development in the country's market. 

"We will continue to fulfill our existing contractual obligations with Russian customers while the suspension of new sales is in effect," the press release reads.

In March 2022, Microsoft suspended sales of software and services in Russia, but continued Xbox.
