SNK and Capcom are considering bringing back the Capcom vs. SNK fighting game series

Game designer and producer Yasuyuki Oda, who works for SNK Corporation, is ready for the return of the SNK vs. crossover. Capcom, as told in an interview with the editorial board of VGC.

Commenting on the past series of EVO 2022 tournaments, Oda noted that he would like to work closely with Capcom again. Moreover, the parents of Street Fighter are also ready for such a collaboration.

"In the future - definitely. This is a project that absolutely everyone wants to see, including employees of both our companies.

After seeing the audience's reaction to the [SNK vs. Capcom themed posters] sold on EVO, I was once again charged with confidence that fighting game fans around the world are waiting for our return," said Yasuyuki Oda.

At the same time, Oda hastened to immediately explain that despite the mutual interest from SNK and Capcom, so far there is no question of a full-fledged joint production of a new fighting game - the partners have not yet arranged detailed negotiations on a potential project.

However, Oda is convinced that it will not be difficult to launch the game into development.

SNK has extensive experience on modern systems, it creates not only its own games, but also cooperates with other authors of fighting games. Of the latter, Super Smash Bros.

Ultimate from Nintendo and Tekken 7 from Bandai Namco. To date, the line of SNK vs.

Capcom has three full-fledged projects, the last of which, SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos, was launched in 2003.

At EVO 2022, SNK announced a new Fatal Fury – the first in 20 years.
