A big PlayStation Showcase will be held this month

Sony can host a big PlayStation Showcase this month. Nick Baker, an insider and co-host of the XboxEra podcast, tweeted about it on Twitter.

Baker noted that he was often asked about the September PlayStation event, but inquiring about it from his sources, he learned that the show was currently supposedly scheduled for an earlier date — August.

However, he did not exclude that the timing might still change.

For the previous two years, Sony hosted the September PlayStation Showcase, a larger presentation than the State of Play, comparable to the E3 level.

Perhaps the postponement of the show to August is due to the desire to show there a remake of The Last of Us: Part I, the release of which is just planned for early September.

"So, since [you] asked me, I asked if Sony was planning a show for September, and I got an answer that it is currently scheduled for August.

But not to be angry with me: "I am not sure that it will be transferred" also was part of the answer".

Last month, Sony revealed the exact release date of God of War: Ragnarök, but the expected performance of the game, except for a short film, did not occur.

It is possible that a detailed gameplay demonstration of the project was also decided to save until the PlayStation Showcase 2022.
