The remake of Metal Gear Solid really exists and will be officially announced soon. This was stated by the Spanish gaming portal AreaJugones, referring to information received from anonymous sources.
The publication warns that it cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of the available information, but if the leak does not lie, then the project has been in development for a long time and will be an exclusive PlayStation 5.
As for the timing of the announcement, according to AreaJugones, the game should be presented pretty soon, but it's not a fact that this will happen at the upcoming The Game Awards 2022 ceremony, which will be held on the night of December 8-9.
Weeks or even months may pass before the official disclosure. Which studio is engaged in the remake of Hideo Kojima's stealth action and when it will be released is also not reported yet.
