A subsidiary of the publisher GTA and Red Dead Redemption will release a new game in the universe "Lord of the Rings"

Private Division, part of Take-Two Interactive, will release a new game based on The Lord of the Rings by J. "J.R.R.

The developer is Weta Workshop, which participated in the creation of the trilogy of films "Lord of the Rings" and "Hobbit" as an expert group on visual effects.

Previously, Weta Workshop was not engaged in the development of games, but in 2014, a specialized gaming department was opened under its wing, which is now responsible for the as yet nameless project on the "Lord of the Rings".

The team was allocated a broad license to work with the original source of Tolkien, which will allow developers to demonstrate their view of the universe of the "Lord of the Rings".

The game is not expected to be released until FY2024. It is still in its early stages.

The developers have already stated that their creation will be unique and not similar to other game pieces under the license.
