During today, Amazon will make an official announcement about the acquisition of Electronic Arts — publisher of FIFA, Mass Effect, Apex Legends, Dead Space, Dragon Age and many other popular games.
About it reports the edition GLHF. For the past few months, there have been rumors of a possible takeover of EA, with Apple, Disney and, in fact, Amazon as potential buyers.
According to GLHF sources, the deal will be concluded with the latter.
It is not yet clear what the future holds for the company under the new owner's wing, but it is possible that after the success of Netflix's Witch and Arcane, Amazon will want to use the EA franchises as a basis for its new film and TV projects.
