It is worth noting that the last project of the studio was WWE 2K19, after the release of which 2K Sports transferred the franchise to Visual Concepts.

Unfortunately, it failed, and after the failure of WWE 2K20, the development of the next part was frozen. Now Yuke's is basically making a competitor WWE 2K21.

Amazon UK has a page AEW Fight Forever, which contains a list of platforms and other details of the upcoming fighting.

According to the Gematsu tip, the project is being developed for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC. Xbox One is not listed.

The release date is December 31, 2022, and THQ Nordic is listed as the publisher. Recall that THQ acted as a publisher for Yuke's when developing the WWE franchise before going bankrupt.

The company was later reformed and IP was sold.

According to the description, AEW Fight Forever combines the nostalgic atmosphere of an arcade fight with innovative finishing techniques All Elite Wrestling and attacks.

The roster includes veterans and the recently released AEW stars.

The new development will include single and team modes with participation of three and four athletes, royal battle, multiplayer online matches and much more.

During the announcement of the AEW Fight Forever in November 2020, it became known that Hideyuki Iwashita, the game director of WWF No Mercy and Def Jam Vendetta, would be involved in the development.

In September, it was also confirmed that the late Owen Hart, who died in an accident in 1999, would appear in the AEW Fight Forever posthumously as a playable character in a partnership with the non-profit charity Owen Hart Foundation.

This will be Hart's first appearance in the game since Showdown: Legends of Wrestling 2004.
