AMD introduced the Risen 7000X3D series processors and Risen 7040 mobile chips

AMD CEO Lisa Su presented Ryzen 7000X3D processors during the CES 2023 technology exhibition. Performance gains in games are expected to be up to 30% compared to 5800X3D models.

In total, several chip variants were announced, the characteristics of which can be seen below.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D — 8 cores, 16 threads, frequency up to 5 GHz, 104 MB cache, 120 W;Ryzen 9 7900X3D — 12 cores, 24 threads, frequency up to 5.6 GHz, 140 MB cache, 120 W;Ryzen 9 7950X3D — 16 cores, 32 threads, frequency up to 5, 7 GHz, 144 MB cache, 120 Watts.

The Ryazan 7000X3D will go on sale in February 2023.

In addition, as part of the presentation, mobile chips of the Ryzen 7040 series were shown, designed to compete with Apple's M1 Pro and the upcoming M2 Pro.

The flagship Ryzen 9 7940HS received 8 cores, 16 threads and a frequency of 5.2 GHz. AMD claims that the new development is 30% more productive than the M1 Pro.

Representatives of the line will be available to laptop manufacturers in March 2023.
