AMD's FSR 2.0 Scaling Technology Appears on Xbox Series X|S and Selected NVIDIA Graphics Cards

Last week, AMD announced FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0, a technology capable of increasing the resolution or frame rate of games using time scaling algorithms. The manufacturer promised to release in the second quarter of this year.

At GDC 2022, the company announced that FSR 2.0 will be supported by the Xbox family and several NVIDIA graphics cards. When a full-fledged launch will take place on the listed devices is not specified. Interestingly, the technology will fully work on consoles, and authorized developers will have access to a set of tools for using it in their games.

For graphics cards, FSR 2.0 will be available on Radeon RX 590, RX 6500 XT and later, as well as GeForce GTX 1070, GeForce GTX 16 series and later. The work of the technology can be assessed by screenshots. In total, FSR 2.0 will offer four modes on
