Zombie action Dying Light 2 has gone through a difficult development path and numerous transfers. However, since the game still got to the release, the ElAnalistaDeBits channel decided to compare how the final version differs from the early shows . It turned out to be strong.

  • The first gameplay of Dying Light 2 was presented back in 2018 at the Xbox E3 conference. The demo showed some missions, mechanics and locations, but the game came with big changes by the time it was released;
  • The most important difference is that in the final version a completely different city is presented, while the remains of the first version serve as decorations outside the play area;
  • The old town can be seen in the distance by hang-gliding over characteristic buildings such as the cathedral and the water tower. In the release build, these buildings are also present, two zones of the final game, but it can still be found outside the map. If you fly outside the game world, you can see some remnants of the old round square and the streets adjacent to it;
  • Some gameplay elements did not live up to the release. For example, in the 2018 screening, the protagonist could smoothly slide down the advertising banners, cutting them with a knife, which is not the case in the final version. The same goes for the ability to cling to a moving vehicle;
  • On top of that, the enemy design has changed in the final version, the overall color palette has become noticeably brighter, but ray-traced reflections and global illumination have appeared.
