The portable gaming console ROG Ally from ASUS began to pass certification before the release, thanks to which additional information about the specifications of the device was disclosed.

ASUS ROG Ally lit up on the website of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under two code designations RC71L and RC71X, which may indicate the manufacturer's intention to market several configurations of the device, for example, with different amounts of RAM and SSD.

Also, an option with an alternative coloring is not excluded.

The FCC document states that the ASUS ROG Ally is based on the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U chip, which belongs to the energy-efficient class with a thermal package from 15 to 28 watts.

It has not yet been officially announced, but if you believe the leaks, it will be an 8-core and 16-stream APU with a base frequency of 3.3 GHz and Radeon 780M graphics based on the RDNA 3 architecture, which has 12 computing units and 768 stream processors.

During the announcement, ASUS stated that the chip for ROG Ally was specially optimized together with AMD, so the characteristics of the APU installed in the device may differ slightly.

The test version of the ASUS ROG Ally numbered RC71L, according to the FCC, received 16 GB of RAM, but how much RAM will be available in the consumer sample has not yet been reported.

All currently known characteristics and their comparison with Steam Deck and Switch OLED:The other day, ASUS confirmed that ROG Ally will be released worldwide and will go on sale earlier than users could expect.

The exact launch dates and cost have not yet been announced.
