Insiders did not deceive: Koei Tecmo and Electronic Arts really started a partnership that will result in the release of a new AAA game from the creators of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors from the studio Omega Force under the brand EA Originals.

This was announced by the sides in an official press release.

According to the report, with the support of Electronic Arts, Japanese developers intend to create an international hit in the category of hunting actions — it is customary to include Monster Hunter and his many followers.

Usually in such projects, several people join forces in the network and go hunting monsters or demons.

In the past generation there was a real boom in Japan for similar games, and Omega Force itself tried in this genre, presenting the Toukiden dictionary on PlayStation and PC consoles.

However, then there was no question of AAA-level.

The huge success of Capcom's Monster Hunter World a few years later showed that multiplayer monster hunting games can become serious global bestsellers, and now developers from Omega Force and Koei Tecmo seem to want to bite a slice off this pie, gaining the support of a major global publisher.

In the announcement, EA and Omega Force (Koei Tecmo) refer to their nameless game as "the new breakthrough adventure" and "the next big hunting hit".

The developers are preparing to surprise some "unexpected innovative mechanics" and "take the genre to a new level". The action will unfold in fantasy feudal Japan.

The press release is accompanied by the only art that can be seen above. Details will appear later this month.

Typically, Koei Tecmo publishes its own games around the world, but this time decided to team up with EA in the hope of attracting a wider audience.

At the moment, there are no games in the portfolio of the Japanese company with sales of 5 million copies or more.
