Fighting game Tekken 7 has reached 10 million copies sold in 5 years

Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada announced two important results of the series via his Twitter page. Tekken 7, released in June 2017, has reached 10 million copies sold in five and a half years.

In turn, the total circulation of the entire series has exceeded the mark of 54 million copies. The franchise was launched more than 27 years ago.

In March 1995, the first game was released on the original PlayStation. A few days ago, a gameplay trailer for Tekken 8 was shown at The Game Awards 2022.

A new part of the fighting game series is being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, although the release date remains unknown.
