On Russian-language shadow online platforms and free ad sites, messages began to appear about selling access to Spotify Premium, Netflix Premium, Pornhub, and VPN services. This was said by cybersecurity experts from Kaspersky Lab.

The cost of accounts varies from 20 rubles or more depending on the seller and the duration of the service. In the darknet there are also ads with the provision of services for the renewal of an existing subscription. However, almost half of such messages are placed by swindlers.

According to the head of the research department of T.Hunter Igor Bederov, up to 40% of ads that are left in the darknet and on the classifiers— do not correspond to reality, but you can check this only by buying the product.

Except as soon as the intruders dispose of the information, an attempt may be made to lure out the money, says Leonid Bezperko, an employee of Kaspersky Lab.

Often sell real accounts that were stolen through phishing and social engineering or using a database of leaked passwords.

Even if there is no fraud on the part of the seller, the service can block the user's account on its own for "suspicious activity", for example, due to a mismatch between the country of origin of the account and the IP address.

Recall that Netflix suspended operations in Russia on March 6, and Spotify ceased to operate in the country on April 11.
