PvP servers for Dark Souls: Remastered , Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III have been temporarily closed on PC due to a critical vulnerability in the listed games.

Studio FromSoftware and Bandai Namco explained in an official Twitter post that they have disabled multiplayer to "investigate recent reports of an issue with online services" . Apparently, the reason is related to the discovered security hole in Dark Souls III, which allows unscrupulous users to remotely access someone else's PC while invading another player's session.

The issue was made public after one of the hackers publicly hacked the streamer via RCE (Remote Code Execution Vulnerability) during a Dark Souls III livestream.

According to the hacker, tried to contact the developers at FromSoftware but was ignored, so he started using streamer hacks to draw attention to the problem.

At the moment, the servers have not yet been restored . On consoles, multiplayer works normally.
