The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China has awarded honorary prizes for digital innovations to ten local companies. GameLook reports that the list includes miHoYo, who developed Genshin Impact.
miHoYo was the only studio to be awarded for "promoting tourism through games and exploring models of cultural communications."
Apparently, the popularity of Genshin Impact contributed to the influx of visitors to the country.
Journalists believe that this was influenced by the image in Genshin Impact of the Li Yue region, which was created under the influence of Chinese culture.
In addition, some locations repeat real places, for example, Zhangjiajie and Huanglong National Parks.
