Interactive horror The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan can be fully released on PlayStation 5.

This is indicated by the PSN database update, where traces of a native version of the game for the next generation Sony console were found.

Man of Medan was originally released in 2019 and is the first part of The Dark Pictures horror anthology developed by the authors of Until Dawn – Supermassive Games studio.

The series now includes three games, including "Little Hope" (2020) and "House of Ashes" (2021), and another episode, "The Devil in Me", will be released in November to complete the first season of the franchise.

Now Man of Medan works on Nextgen set-top boxes only for backward compatibility, but it seems that the project will soon be fully optimized for the capabilities of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Probably, the release of an improved version of Man of Medan will be timed to the new collection with the full first season of The Dark Pictures Anthology, although the developers have not yet officially announced such plans.

The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me will go on sale on November 18. At the Gamescom 2022 Future Games Show, a fresh gameplay trailer of the game was shown.
