VentureBeat has received a letter addressed to 2K publishing house - it says about the departure of Hayden Blackman from the post of head of Hangar 13. His place will be taken by Nick Baines, who previously led the studio's office in Brighton. Blackman himself explained the decision with a desire to do something new.

Interestingly, he announced his departure six months after the cancellation of the mysterious superhero project Volt, which cost 2K (adjusted for inflation) $ 53 million, adjusted for inflation as of November last year. Then Jason Schreier even mentioned that this circumstance would not entail a reduction in Hangar 13. Although, perhaps Blackman's departure is indeed not related to the cancellation of the project.

By the way, before founding the studio in 2014, Hayden managed to have a hand in several projects based on Star Wars, including the famous The Force Unleashed. He was also the game director of Mafia 3 and the lead writer of the remake of the first part.
