Head of Ubisoft: We have everything to stay independent

Back in February, the head of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, said that the company was ready to consider purchase offers. Later, the media followed publications that said that Ubisoft could enter into an agreement with a private investment firm.

And now, during a conversation with investors, Guillemot affirmatively stated: "We have everything necessary in order to remain independent."

As for publications in the media, they, according to the head of Ubisoft, only play into the hands of the company, as they "flaunt the real attractiveness and value of assets, as well as the potential for value creation."

Guillemot also commented on what was said in February, noting that he made this statement solely because of obligations:

"As a public company, we are required by law to consider any proposal in the interests of all shareholders and our creative teams."
