In an interview with The Guardian, Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima said that one of his next games is based on a unique concept that can change the entertainment industry.

The developer actually came up with a new media format, and now it's only a matter of high-quality implementation.

The creator of Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding "for many years" wanted to take on such a project, but it was impossible for various reasons.

“If I succeed, this project will lead to changes – not only in the gaming industry, but also in the film industry,” said the head of Kojima Productions.

According to Kojima, the main difficulty lies in creating a solid foundation on the basis of which the work will be built.

At first it will be perceived as an unusual experiment, and then the ideas underlying it can spread and become familiar to the industry.

However, a long way is likely to pass between the experiment and the final point — Kojima does not expect that his idea will be picked up instantly.

The media suggest that Kojima may be talking about a mysterious game for the Xbox ecosystem, which is being created with the financial support of Microsoft using modern cloud technologies.

At the presentation in June, the developer said that he always wanted to create a similar project, but previously it was impossible.

It is possible that we are talking about a horror codenamed OVERDOSE, the existence of which was revealed in the summer by insider Tom Henderson.

The footage he received showed a female heroine performed by actress Margaret Qually, who moved through dark corridors with a flashlight.

The video ended with a screamer, followed by the words "GAME OVER" and "OVERDOSE . . . HIDEO KOJIMA'S GAME".

According to Henderson, what was shown was not like Death Stranding. It is known that Kojima creates a sequel to Death Stranding for the PlayStation 5 in collaboration with Sony.
