Authorities in Boston said that the "degraded state" of the Sony PlayStation game console led to a Sunday visit by deminers and the evacuation of passengers from Terminal A of Boston Logan International Airport.
Massachusetts State Police (MSP) spokesman Dave Procopio told The Hill that TSA agents found a suspicious item in the passenger bag of a scheduled Delta Airlines flight.
After conducting an investigation, MSP engineers, who were called immediately after 16:00 local time, found that the suspicious object turned out to be a PlayStation game console, which was in poor condition due to damage and old age.

In a similar statement to The Hill, TSA's New England regional representative, Daniel Vélez, added that the authorities had searched the bag and the whole of Terminal A without finding any explosives.
Some passengers also told an ABC WCVB correspondent that they had been evacuated from the aircraft during the incident.
"I had a flight at 6: 00 p.m., and I was just getting to the airport. When I got out of the car, a bunch of people ran out to scream, so I got back in the car.
