Insider: Another Xbox franchise will receive a collection of remasters like Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Over the past few years, Microsoft has announced a ton of new games. The vast majority of them have not yet been released, but it seems that in the near future the company will have other releases that have not yet been announced.

Insider Nick Baker , previously noted for a number of faithful leaks, said on the XboxEra podcast that Microsoft is currently developing another collection of one of the Xbox franchises, which will receive a remake in the style of Halo: The Master Chief Collection . He does not know the timing, but suggested that the release could happen in 2023.

It is also unknown which series is in question. Baker was not allowed to reveal the title . The main assumptions are Gears or Fable .

Playground Games is currently working on a reboot of Fable. It is possible that on the eve of the new game, Microsoft will decide to recall the franchise with a collection of remasters of past parts. As for Gears of War, The Coalition is currently busy testing Unreal Engine 5 technologies on an experimental new IP, and a collection of all the games in the franchise could be the solution in anticipation of the inevitable Gears 6.
