Last fall, journalist Jeff Grubb spoke about a game codenamed Project Belfry, which is being developed by the developers of The Banner Saga. Then the insider noted that this is reminiscent of Dragon's Crown action in the style of "Princess Mononoke". With a large world and the player's base, which will be the bell tower.
Well, now another journalist and insider, Jez Corden, has shared his information. He notes that a relatively small team is working on the game, but still the project will be bigger than he initially thought.
So, for example, according to Corden, Project Belfry will have cloud servers, multiplayer and a social hub like that implemented in Destiny. At the same time, the insider believes that, of course, it is possible that some of this was canceled, but the journalist himself does not think so.
As for multiplayer, Corden can't say for sure if it's co-op or competitive play.
According to the journalist, Project Belfry has been created since 2019, and there is a high probability that the game will be shown at the Microsoft show, which will take place on the evening of June 12. And maybe it will be released this year.
However, Corden himself is not one hundred percent sure of this, especially given the coronavirus and the possible increase in the scale of the project.
