IO Interactive has announced the development of a multiplayer RPG rumored to be funded by Microsoft and will be an Xbox exclusive

IO Interactive studio, known for the Hitman series, has announced an online fantasy RPG based on a new franchise. The developers stated that they want to expand their capabilities with this project.

It is likely that we are talking about Project Dragon, which was previously mentioned by insiders. For the first time, this project was discussed back in 2021.

Then the media claimed that the game is a large-scale fantasy RPG from a third person with dragons, a medieval world, multiplayer with dedicated servers and long-term support.

The project has been compared to Destiny, World of Warcraft and Diablo. It is created allegedly with the support of Microsoft.

Below is the first art of the game. The studio did not share official details.

IO Interactive is also working on an untitled James Bond game. The release is expected no earlier than March 2025.
