AMD's line of graphics cards based on the RDNA 3 architecture was launched back in December 2022, but since then, gamers from the red camp are still offered only two new GPUs - Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT.

Both graphics accelerators are primarily aimed at enthusiasts and are sold at a very high price of $ 999 and $ 849, while the vast majority of the audience still does not have access to the medium-budget RDNA 3.

AMD's main mainstream GPU line is now represented by the Radeon RX 6000 series based on the older RDNA 2, but the situation should change soon, since the manufacturer plans to launch the first mass-produced Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards already in the current quarter (from April 1 to June 30).

This was confirmed by the company's CEO Lisa Su in a conversation with investors about earnings for the 1st quarter of 2023.

The head of AMD said that sales and demand for the flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX remain high, but the main driver of growth in the gaming segment were semi-custom systems-on-a-chip (SoC) for premium gaming consoles such as

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Earlier it was reported that the official announcement of the Radeon RX 7600 and Radeon RX 7700 may take place this month at Computex 2023.

The exhibition starts on May 28. It is expected that the RX 7600 will receive a 5 or 6-nanometer Navi 33 chip with 32 computing blocks and 2048 cores, a 128-bit bus and 32 MB of Infinity Cache.

The volume of full-fledged memory, according to rumors, will be 8 GB. The competitor for the RX 7600/7700 should be the GeForce RTX 4060, which is also expected in May.
