Dead Island 2 zombie action can be re-announced soon and released before the end of this year. This was reported by journalist and former IGN editor Colin Moriarty in the latest issue of his podcast Sacred Symbols.
"Dead Island 2 is likely to be re-announced. I heard from my trusted source that the game could be fully featured this summer and released shortly thereafter, possibly in September or October. "
In February, authoritative insider Tom Henderson shared similar information. According to him, Dead Island 2 is still in active development by Dambuster Studios and may be released later this year.
On the upcoming release of the project in the winter during the presentation hinted Embracer Group, the parent company of the publisher Deep Silver.
Dead Island 2 was first introduced in 2014 and has since experienced a number of delays and several developer changes. Initially, the project was managed by Yager Development, then passed into the hands of Sumo Digital, and in 2019, it was transferred to Dambuster, an internal studio of Deep Silver Publishing. The game was originally conceived to revolve around the U.S. military, which cordoned off California for quarantine.
