The adventure game The Last of Us Part I was produced without overwork and in a well-organized schedule. Anthony Vaccaro, a veteran of the Naughty Dog studio who plays the role of senior designer in the environment, told about this in his personal blog.

As the developer wrote, in his career the project for PlayStation 5 has become one of the easiest and most enjoyable. At the same time, specialists did not have to compromise on the quality of the game — the audience is waiting for a high-quality release.

"For the first time in 13 years of a professional career in several companies at once, I did not have to recycle to successfully complete the development of a new game. Very pleasant feeling. Especially considering that we were able to implement a project comparable in quality to The Last of Us Part II. Much remains to be done developer.

Recall that during the development of The Last of Us Part II, journalists criticized Naughty Dog for the crunch policy — employees had to work overtime in attempts to successfully meet tight schedules.

The Last of Us Part I is an adaptation of the original The Last of Us using the technological base of The Last of Us Part II. Players are waiting for a familiar plot and sequence of game events, but with a new picture, soundtrack, animation system, updated artificial intelligence and other technical improvements.

The world premiere of The Last of Us Part I for the PlayStation 5 console will take place on September 2, and the preload starts already at the end of August. The PC version will be released later.
