The Last of Us Part II was released almost two years ago, but the debate about the plot has not subsided so far. A Twitter user with the nickname KSA4EVER18 posted an image on the social network in which he compared the character of Joel from the first and second parts of The Last of Us .

The author actually decided to concoct a meme, making the hero look like a fool who decides to look "into that house full of people about whom nothing is known and be friendly with them", while the original character was "an experienced survivalist who never trusted strangers and always very careful in every situation."

KSA4EVER18 hinted that the developers changed Joel's behavior for the worse, but the message target="_blank">Creative director of the game Neil Druckmann answered, trying to explain the actions of the hero.

The creator of The Last of Us Part II noted that circumstances forced them to commit: if Joel and Tommy had not gone to “that house”, they would have been killed by a horde of zombies. Druckmann also recalled the episode from the first The Last of Us, when the protagonist trusted Henry and fell asleep next to him. The latter left the hero to die in order to protect his younger brother.
