The Chinese company NetEase has announced the opening of anchorPoint Studios. It was headed by Paul Ehret, the designer of the story campaign Halo 4 and Control.

He was joined by veterans of the gaming industry who participated in the development of games such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Tsushima and The Division.

anchorPoint Studios' main office will be located Barcelona, the second — in Seattle. The plans for the near future are to hire about 100 employees.

Currently, the studio is working on unknown AAA-class adventure games for PC and consoles. Other details are not reported.

"We are grateful to NetEase Games for giving us the creative freedom and resources to create an interconnected world that will go beyond games and cover other areas of entertainment," the authors said.
