Extended information on the age rating classification of the Survival Horror The Callisto Protocol has been posted on the website of the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore.
The project received an M18 rating from the local regulator for violence and brutality.
The following points are mentioned:The game passes from a third person with a study of dark and confusing locations where you can meet traces of blood and body remains;The main character uses weapons of close combat, pistols and dangerous elements of the environment to fight and kill mutated and human enemies;There are scrimmers with a sudden appearance of enemies trying to attack the player;Some episodes suggest overcoming a dangerous environment, for example, the need to sneak through the streams of water, avoiding spiky poles and rotating fan blades, risking to be planted or dismembered when confronted with them;Violence is shown throughout the game, and in some more severe scenes enemies are dismembered and decapitated with heavy bloodletting.
The player can also use a spinning crusher, resulting in the killing of mutants accompanied by blood fog; the characters use material words such as "fak", as well as pronouncing rude expressions like "bitch" and "shit".
The Callisto Protocol takes place 300 years into the future.
The central character of the story is Jacob Lee, a cargo ship pilot who crashes on Jupiter Callisto's satellite and goes to the maximum security prison "Black Metal", where at one point prisoners begin to turn into monstrous creatures.
Being in the midst of all this horror, the protagonist must try to survive and escape, while revealing the ominous secrets surrounding this mysterious place.
The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2 this year.
