After almost two and a half years of release, NVIDIA is discontinuing production of GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics chips.
According to sources from China, the RTX 3060 Ti is entering the phase of decommissioning.
Information about this was published on the Chinese Board Channels forum, where retailers and distributors share news from the industry.
The author of the topic did not specify specific dates, only noting that NVIDIA is preparing to stop supplying RTX 3060 Ti chips
and will send a notification to its partners about the need to clear inventory with already produced video cards. This is expected to take several months.
The GeForce RTX 3060 Ti was released in December 2020 with an initial price of $399.
Although the video card has not become the most popular, it has consistently occupied high positions in various tops, including Steam, and still remains quite relevant due to a good price-performance ratio.
NVIDIA is expected to unveil the RTX 4060
Ti later this month, which should be the successor to the RTX 3060 Ti.
